Seismic Response of a Historical Masonry Bridge under Near and Far-fault Ground Motions

Historical masonry arch bridges which might be vulnerable to natural disasters are important part of the cultural heritage. Natural disasters, especially earthquakes can inflict damage these structural systems. This paper aims investigate a comparison effects near and far-fault ground motions on seismic response under different earthquakes. Kalender bridge is located in Ergani, Turkey selected as numerical model. For this purpose, three-dimensional finite element model generated with ANSYS software macro modelling approach. Seismic assessed by means time-history analyses.
